Artists and Backdrops

Nella  Novy-Johnson (singer/musician and artist) has worked intensively for more than fifteen years with children of all ages in playschools, holiday projects and  in schools running art, music, gardening and cooking sessions. Nella also sings lead on the Shukalaka Shake, Heard on the Wind CDs and also features on the ‘Forest‘ collection of songs for `Everyday Magic’.

Nella is currently is our lead visual artist, having run the Talk Box sessions for Everyday Magic in a number of schools. She has also run art projects at schools in Kensington and Chelsea and Ealing Boroughs. (see our Gallery photos)

Nella also sings with the successful Barker Band, who have played in Europe and the USA.

Joanna Sellam is a London based painter and print maker. She has created backdrops for Everyday Magic for use in classrooms, enthralling children and adults with her vibrant colours and images.

She studied art in London at Central St Martins and  Slade UCL.  She taught art in evening classes to adults and children and then developed a career as a Jungian Sandplay and Art Therapist.
