Anne Johnson

Anne Johnson, Everyday Magic founder & director, is a storyteller, songwriter, and author dedicated to bringing storytelling and music into schools and making songs & rhymes for the project and she has a background in education, community publishing and voice tutoring

TUUP has been telling traditional stories for over 30 years. He is also a percussive musician and songwriter with the band Transglobal Underground.

Nell Phoenix

Nell Phoenix has shared hundreds of stories with thousands of schoolchildren aged 3–19 across the UK, India, Colombia, Mexico, and China. She is known for her engaging, expressive style.

Kate Corkery

Kate Corkery is an international Irish storyteller with a background in acting. fluent in French, Spanish and Gaelic, she has toured Mexico, Uruguay and Argentina, and recently relaunched her ‘Round the Fire’ storytelling club at the Irish Centre in Hammersmith.

Sef Townsend

Sef Townsend has spent many years inspiring both children and adults with stories, language, rhythm and song. He has worked widely on refugee, peace, reconciliation and inter-faith projects, and has performed his stories and workshops across schools, museums, cultural centres and festivals around the world.

Xanthe Gresham-Knight

With a background in acting and teaching, Xanthe has been telling stories, singing songs and writing books for children of all ages for more than 30 years. She was a lecturer in Storytelling and Drama for the PGCE course at the University of East London for 17 years and has toured her storytelling shows internationally.

Olu Oke

Is a London born, Nigerian bred award-winning illustrator, writer and storyteller, who fuses modern city life with traditional european wonder tales, crafting her stories to meet all situations. She has worked with a wide range of groups including primary age children, disaffected youth and vulnerable adult learners and is a qualified mentor.

Michele Chowrimootoo

Michele Chowrimootoo is a drummer, percussionist and sound engineer who works with both children and adults as a performer. She is the music facilitator at Islington Mind. Alongside performing and recording songs for Everyday Magic, she creates the free online resources and manages our social media.

Nella Novy-Johnson

Nella Novy-Johnson is an artist and musician who has worked with children in schools and arts projects for more than 20 years. She creates storytelling backdrops and is one of the lead vocalists on Everyday Magic recordings, as well as the lead singer with the London-based Barker Band.

Joanna Sellam

Joanna Sellam is a Bristol-based painter and printmaker who studied at Central St Martins and the Slade School of Art (UCL). She has taught art to adults and children, developed a career as a Jungian sandplay & art therapist, and now works full-time as a painter. For Everyday Magic, she creates beautiful storytelling backdrop scenes.

Louise Cielecki

Louise Cielecki is a North Wales born actor and facilitator who leads small-group Talk Box sessions, encouraging children’s creativity and boosting their speaking confidence. She specialises in children’s theatre and comedy anything that allows imagination to thrive. Louise trained at the Royal Central School of Speech & Drama (BA) and the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire (MA).

Florence Pilling

Florence Pilling is a young actress who recently completed her BA in Musical Theatre at the University of Chichester. She has worked with children as both a teaching assistant and a volunteer supporting young adults with learning difficulties. Through Talk Box, she nurtures children’s confidence and self-expression, drawing on her musical theatre background.
