Ourselves & Our Families

Through traditional tales, rhymes & songs, storytellers help children explore life at the time of birth, how babies change & grow over time & the special dates in their lives  through stories of birthdays, weddings & festivals.

Black History Month

An opportunity to celebrate traditions that came out of Africa: the birthplace of humanity and the origins of storytelling and to highlight the history of the diversity of London, weaving in stories of real people  such as Ira Aldridge, an African/American who played Othello, Richard III, Macbeth & Shylock on the stage in London in the 1830s.

Bringing History Alive

From Ancient Egypt to the Great Fire of London to our local area & how it used to be. Stories, poetry & songs that tell the histories of other times and places and of the names of streets we walk down everyday .

Telling Tales

Fairy tales, traditional tales, fantasy tales, myths and legends all feature in this programme. Storytelling is in our bones. Children connect immediately to the tales of young ones sent out to face dangers in the world. children express a passionate sense of justice and feel great satisfaction when the ‘baddies’ are dealt with they can sleep peacefully in their beds!

Our Universe

Helping children’s imaginations to take flight through stories, songs, rhymes and backdrops that capture the sense of what it is to be human and witness the wonder of the sun, the moon, the stars, the planets & the vastness of the night sky.

Talk Box

Talk Box is a small group activity for children who need support with their language, confidence or participation in class. A range of activities provides a fun, creative & safe space where children can develop their social skills at their own pace through conversation & play. Activities range from handling & describing the items in a nature box to drawing pictures or acting out a little story told to them or telling their own story.
